  • What’s your favourite thing about your job?

My role is fast paced and every day is different. One day I might be flying a guest to a picnic on the beach, the next I’ll be taking a tourist on a heli-diving experience. The job is always new and exciting.

  • What are the key roles and responsibilities in your role?

I manage all the bookings and check the weather on a daily basis and what flying experiences have been arranged. Then I prepare the aircraft. Once all the safety checks are done, we fly!

  • How did you get into tourism and your current role?

Tourism is typically the first stepping stone for most line and junior pilots.

  • What’s your advice for someone considering a career in tourism?

You have to be out there and proactive if you want to get into the tourism industry. You need to be having just as much fun as everyone else. You’re the key role for your guests to have a great experience.
