Tourism development officers develop and promote tourism to attract visitors and generate economic benefits for a particular destination. They maintain visitor services, liaise with businesses and the public sector, and prepare and plan in partnership with local tourism agencies and services.

Day-to-day

  • Collect and analyse tourism and market statistics

  • Undertake tourism and marketing promotional activities
  • Prepare tourism strategies, marketing plans and monitor budget
