Food and beverage managers are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of food and beverage operations in a hospitality establishment, including budget management, team leadership, customer service, menu design and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Day-to-day

  • Maintain excellent levels of customer service
  • Design menus, purchase good and make any necessary improvements
  • Identify customer needs and respond proactively to their concerns
  • Lead a food and beverage team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
  • Keep track of stock; plan and manage the budget
  • Ensure health, safety and liquor licensing regulations are followed
  • Take bookings and assist with customer service
